Staying in Landstuhl, tired of DFAC: Recommendations for restaurants

This map shows 2 restaurants German and Italian, both have menus in English, excellent food also.  The Chinese across from the Italian does not have a good reputation.  The Frishe Mart is a small German grocery store when you can pick up fresh fruits, veggies, and small items.  Take your own bag to the market; my experience is they don’t speak much if any English.  There is also a bakery and their food and English is rather good.

The B on this map marks an Italian restaurant DaGino for pizza & lasagna: 06371-914441 and across the street Da Maria (pasta) 06371-612552, make reservations if you are going on a weekend or if there are more than 2 people.  The C marks the some of the best German food Andreas Stube 06371-2177, again reservations for more than 2 people.  LeMarecage up the street is also excellent has a little French flair to it, but mostly it has great spätzel and their rumpsteak is their special on Thursday nights (popular with locals). The hospital is up the street from the "A" Luitipoldstrasse.  You'll also see the castle marked on this map.
